On December 15th, 2012, the 1st Annual Live Ultimate RUN South Beach took place in Miami Beach, FL on the famed Ocean Drive with over 2,000 participants. Featured events included a quarter marathon (6.55 miles), 5-kilometer Run/Walk, Verizon Ultimate Team Challenge and Ultimate KIDS Dash. The event raised awareness for America’s hungry children in support of Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry and the Live Ultimate End Child Hunger Initiative with the motto “Don’t Stand For Hunger, Run To Help End It!”. The start and finish line as well as post-race party were hosted by Nikki Beach Club. Event Sponsors included Braman BMW, Whole Foods, Equinox Fitness Clubs and Verizon Wireless, among others.
